Masterful

Master&Commander: The Far Side of the World It is complicated for me to talk about the film as I've been reading the O'Brien novels for over a decade. But no matter -- The film is quite good and does what a good epic should do: make you feel as though you've been to another world. In this case, the world is the H.M.S. Surprise and the time is early 19th century. Russell Crowe's Captain fights hard, drinks well, and has time to play string duets with his particular friend the ship's doctor, Paul Bettany.... more to come
